   Hi jon, hope you are well. I was wondering if you would be able to help me out? I’ve been learning to play the banjo for a few months now and want to step up from my fender fb54. Was looking at new banjos, came across the gretsch ones which I really like the look of and on their website found a video of yourself playing a broadkaster 9400 along with mike Lewis on a resonator guitar. What a great piece of playing and I really love the tune you play. Could you please tell me what that tune is as I really do want to learn to play it! I would really appreciate it.

   hey barry, thanks for the kind words. the song is one i wrote called wood pecker but i have not put it out on anything yet so the video for gretsch is the only version. i do want to say that the broadcaster banjo is awesome and if i didnt already have so many banjos i would have one of them also

   Love your work. Question did you play banjo on the Neko Case wayfaring stranger cover? Love that solo. Anyway you can help me figure out that lick for banjo?
